In the heart of the bustling KNSM-eiland, amidst a mix of modern architecture and historical charm sits KANIS, a warm authentic café. It's a beautiful location by the water, where you can moor your boat at the jetty. The spacious south-facing terrace is the ideal place to enjoy a drink and a bite in the sun. At KANIS, we are not only a day venue where you can have lunch and enjoy social drinks, but also a café where you can enjoy our frequently changing International dinner menu daily.

From January 2024, we have taken over this venue and will continue with the concept. At the end of February, we carried out significant renovations to improve the bar and kitchen for more efficient and faster work and, not unimportantly, to make KANIS look even more beautiful.

We are now looking for experienced (or less experienced) shift leaders. As a shift leader, you are jointly responsible for the daily operations. You function as the right hand of the manager, contribute ideas, direct, and ensure high standards of service quality and other aspects. You ensure your shift runs smoothly!

Job Description 

• You take responsibility for your shift; 

• You make the guests at KANIS feel completely at home; 

• You lead the team you work with on the floor; 

• You set the standard and inspire the rest of the team; 

• You keep an overview of the business; 

• You ensure the quality of service and product at all times; 

• You are the point of contact for both your team and guests; 

• You work neatly and comply with HACCP hygiene requirements.
