We are the cosiest living room of Amsterdam-Oost, Café Fest, located on the Wibauthof. A living room that offers various possibilities for our guests, mostly students; studying/working at your own desk, lounging on the sofa after attending a lecture or beer pong on one of our wooden tables. A second home, that is what we want to be for the students and staff of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. A place where growth and connection are made possible, for both guests and employees.

To help realise that we are looking for a manager! As a manager, you are ambitious and have one goal in mind, which is to ensure everything at Café Fest runs smoothly and it is always festive. You are open to developing new leadership skills, are a real connector, and are eager to immerse yourself in the world of top service and quality business operations.

Job Description
  • You manage a team of approximately 35 people;

  • You become the face of Café Fest;

  • You inspire, train, and lead your team;

  • You provide your team with feedback where necessary;

  • From Monday to Friday you are on the floor to strengthen the team;

  • You always maintain an overview of the business;

  • You ensure that the quality of the product and the service is always top-notch;

  • You are the point of contact for the team and our guests;

  • You handle the daily operations, such as HR, purchasing, and reservations;

  • You know how to conceive and organise cool events.

Who are you?
  • You have a love and passion for the hospitality industry;

  • You are the life of the party;

  • You are ambitious and want to develop yourself;

  • You are a true jack-of-all-trades;

  • You are a real connector;

  • You have a high sense of responsibility;

  • You always think one step ahead;

  • You are available for a minimum of 32 hours;

  • You have good communication skills;

  • You are a real team player with a positive attitude;

  • You hold an SVH diploma (not required).
